First Place:

Title: Moe in the Greenhouse

Submitted by Sarah Lacko

“Moe is one of our newest kittens on the farm and learning to be the greenhouse keeper!”

Second Place:

Title: Toby’s Favorite Spot

Submitted by Kristi Baker

“I am Kristi Baker, a self-taught bookbinder and owner of The Nib and Quill, living in the tee tiny town of Brookline, New Hampshire. We adopted our amazing cat, Toby, at the start of Covid. He is a rescue Snowshoe from North Carolina. He quickly claimed my art room as his own and it has been an adventure from there. His favorite lounge area is right in the middle of my drafting table. The table sits in the middle of the room so he can see all the action that’s happening. He loves when I hand-tear my journal pages because I let him play in the ribbon strips. He is basically in the middle of everything that I do in my room. I recently added a betta fish to the room for his enjoyment. He likes to watch Beta Books swim around while he takes his dinner near the piano. Toby is a Southerner like me, so we love to sit and talk the talk all day as we craft away.”

Third Place: Damon West

Title: Rudy Holds Forth

Submitted by Pat Maines

“Dachshunds tend to suffer for their shortness. I like to lift Rudy (mostly called Rudy-Tootie) to the chair at the drawing table to check out what is planned for the day. He then has to determine where he would like to place himself. He can have an imperious nature, but mostly just likes to be included. He rescued us in 2017.”

Learning patience, learning how to have fun during the shootings and learning when to stop - these were the most important things she tought me! Soon I noticed that I was addicetd to "Dogs In The City" but also "Dogs In Studio" has always been a big part of my phoography. Meanwhile I found my own unique style in Dog Photography, I love to shoot fineart photograpyh as well as I love to create my artistic images.”

Heike’s work has been honored in contests, like "Fine Art Photography award", "Dog Photography Contest" and "Siena Awards" (shortlisted 3 times). Heike has published over 120 images on - “And...I never stop learning and exploring."
