Marjolein Dallinga was born in the Netherlands, where she studied fine arts. She moved to Montréal, Canada, in 1989, and pursued an art career, making art books and jewelry. She founded her company, Bloomfelt.com, where she works from her studio with felting, painting, sewing and dyeing rooms. Over the decades, she has won several awards for the costumes she made for WOW (World of WearableArt) in New Zealand.
