Betty Bolton Jr. & Sharon Payne Bolton

I was told my parents met on the bike path near Ketchum, Idaho, about two years ago.

My mom is Poodle/Chihuahua and my dad is Yorkie/Maltese, making me an official “PooCheeYorteez”. After they got married, my mom got pregnant and that is when she had my 3 siblings and me. Even though I was only 3 pounds when I found my current family, they were a little afraid of me since they had not lived with another dog for over 12 years. We all quickly learned to live together and when I found out that I had my own art studio to go to work at everyday, I knew I picked my forever family.

I do a lot of work in the art studio with my human mom.

Before I gained all this weight (I weigh 5 lbs now), my mom would carry me around all day at the studio in a sling. In the studio, I model lots of artwork, as I love posing when she points that camera at me. I guard the studio door and play chase with my velvet heart. I learn a lot of new dog tricks that my mom loves to show everyone, but it’s ok because she gives me bacon treats for tricks like when I do things like stand up, roll over, play dead. I am also a pro at ringing the bell when I need to go outside.

One of my biggest jobs at the studio is to monitor my mom’s trunk acquiring “skills”, as she always seems to be finding new (old) trunks and suitcases, because I am pretty sure she has enough.

This studio life has really worked out for me as I hear that I am in a lot of magazines and that I get a lot of “likes” on Instagram. They tell me that I am a bit of a rock star. I don’t mind the fame too much though; people seem to like me whether or not they know I am famous. Now that I have written this article, who knows, maybe my human mom can become famous like me.
