
When I first began working with textiles, it was like I was learning how to speak a language I had long struggled to decipher. The slowness, rhythmic quality, and history behind each technique were catalysts for my work and quickly became the antidote for me in today’s fast-paced culture. Textiles entwine, interconnect, and combine previously disparate elements to create a singular whole. In my work, I have experienced this intertwining through my current body of work and in the two main processes I use.
