As a child, my family moved away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Toronto to the middle of nowhere, farm country in Chatsworth, Ontario. My mother, Maie Landra, was a professional fine artist, locally known for her pen and ink drawings, and my father was a lawyer. They purchased the farm in the 70s as a summer home and a few years later decided they wanted to be in the country full-time. When we moved up to the farm, my mother decided she had an interest in raising her own sheep. We already had a barn and so much land, so why not?
