TIFFANY CHAPMAN is a Maryland native and has lived in Central Texas for over 25 years. Her photography interest began in grade school, when she was always snapping photos with her pink Barbie camera, and grew into high school, using various film cameras while taking lots and lots of photos on family vacations and anything else she could find. Taking a darkroom photography class in high school gave her that spark in her heart that carried through her early college years and finally, when she had to choose a major, she chose photography.
Prior to graduating from Texas State in 2005 with a BFA in photography, Tiffany learned everything about photography in film — from developing her own black-and-white film in the darkroom to mixing chemicals and creatively editing her images through print developing. She started her business in her dorm room, booking her first paid job — a wedding — shooting the entire event in film!
After college, while also working at various day jobs, she continued to pursue photography, learning more about digital photography, building her portfolio and discovering what types of photography she enjoyed the most. Eventually, after working as a graphic designer for many years, she decided it was time to pursue her business full time. In the past eight years, she has grown in knowledge and creativity in her business. She discovered what gives her work the most meaning: people!
Tiffany, being an introvert, still enjoys being with people and actively pursues relationships with her clients. She is drawn to families in particular, inspired by the desire to give them meaningful memories that she hopes will bring them closer together. She also enjoys working with other artists, being inspired by their work, and collaborating on projects. Her goals and dreams are to continue to serve the families in the Austin area and teach her children how to creatively express themselves to reach their dreams. And to be her little photo assistants!
