Stefan Cremers, born in Germany, is a freelance photographer and photo editor based in Victoria, BC, Canada. He worked for many years in the advertising industry in Germany before leaving his career behind to travel the world. What was initially planned as one year of traveling ended up being a ten-year journey around the globe photographing everything from people and their cultures to wildlife and landscapes. Stefan sees his camera as a tool for understanding different cultures, meeting locals, exploring the natural world, and preserving the moment. Now he uses his free time for hiking in the beautiful wilderness of Vancouver Island. “Arrival was not the intention of my travels. I would like to see myself as an endless wanderer, who simply loves to discover and explore new places. What I want to capture most in my photography is the authenticity of the moment.”
