After a ten-year career as a photographer in the U.S. Navy where he learned studio photography, Mel met his wife, Rosetta, a sculptor, while attending Art Center College of Design. Mel turned his attention toward photographing 3-D fine arts and crafts for many years in both San Francisco Bay Area and finally in Loveland, CO. Since 1985, Mel has photographed 3-D art in virtually every medium for a great variety of artists, many of whom have become friends.
