Dena Meeder is an internationally published award-winning portrait and editorial photographer. Though she enjoys all types of photography, her true passion lies in portraiture and editorial fashion.
She has a fine-art approach to her photography, making her sessions unique and creative. She loves to capture the true essence of those she photographs and tell a story with her images. Dena often creates unique pieces for her shoots, such as upscaling wedding dresses with dye, silk flowers and ribbons, and makes headpieces and painted backdrops.
Recently, Dena completed a passion project where she photographed 40 women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. She wanted these women to share their stories, their dreams and their passions to feel special, to feel seen. This project was so impactful that she launched a second round with women in their 50s and up.
Dena often combines her love for travel with her passion for portrait and landscape photography. She has had recent photography projects in Iceland, Fiji and Poland, with upcoming trips to Tahiti and South America. She captures images — for resorts, tourism boards and individual clients — to be used for marketing and branding.
