To see the world through the eyes of DAVID ARMS is a gift.
David is a multifaceted artist who harmonizes several mediums to create
his authentic lifestyle brand. A true Renaissance man, he is recognized as an accomplished painter, photographer, designer, writer and preservationist. Located in the charming village of Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, his gallery is housed in a barn settled into the pastoral countryside. David’s original paintings illuminate the walls and make visual the world as he sees it. His art can be inspired from the seeds and shapes of nature, birds resting outside his windows, the compositions and palettes from the earth, turning a page in a book or the smell of dirt and grass.
In his second book, Hope, David says, “Even though I was responsible for the photos in this book, it is not about fancy tools or experience. It is about seeing.” Hope tells the story of his experiences among the people of South Sudan. His photographs and words convey the beauty and contentment of the people that make up this remote village.
David has succeeded in pioneering a path that delivers people to a quiet and hopeful place in this loud world. Through his work, he encourages us to pause and see the elementary beauty of the world around us … “in quietness and trust shall be your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15)
