Fur in Your Painting Is Free

The image is a shot of me and my dog Emma in my studio. The paintings behind us are a series of colorful abstract pieces. Emma is a critical part of the creativity in the studio. She’s very high energy, and that spills into the work. Painting sessions are constantly interrupted by belly rubs, tug of war, and ball time. There’s an element of wild play in my work that might otherwise be missing without her. She’s my studio staff, constant companion, and best friend.
