Catching Up With … Joy Blanchard
In her spring 2023 story in WHERE Women Create, Joy Blanchard – aka the Joyful Artist — shared her rustic and beautiful studio barn (formerly home to a small herd of Arabian horses), in the Santa Monica Mountains in Southern California. The peaceful and light-filled space has inspired not only Joy, who sculpts, presses flowers, and creates large-scale installations, but the many others who are invited in for workshops and events.
