This video in our Maker Moments highlights Sharon Payne Bolton’s love and connection to books. Sharon is a mixed media artist whose work invites the viewer to step into a mysterious past, somehow familiar yet just out of reach. From her Curiosity Boxes to her artists books and paintings she uses found objects to weave an intriguing narrative of a long-gone time, both real and imagined. Sharon has her studio near Sun Valley, Idaho and spends her time creating pieces for galleries and shows while still carving out time to create books. Sharon loves teaching and has taught around the country. She has also taken students to France and she has taught in Australia for Art is You retreats. Sharon has recently been creating online bookmaking courses to hold us all over until in-person teaching can happen again!
