This studio is truly a part of me, an expression of who I am. I work here everyday, and have touched every square inch of this room. When I bought my 100 year old Southampton home 30 years ago, the floors where covered in linoleum. In this room, I stripped the floor, made Greek key stencils and applied 5 layers of green and blue glazes over the stencils. I tinted the polyurethane with golden pecan and applied 3 or 4 more layers of poly. I faux marbled the window facing east, wallpapered the room, built the shelves, added a shelve with a picket fence on the window, and installed the crown moulding. I have stripped, glazed and refinished all the furniture.
I am an Industrial Designer/Illustrator/Surface Pattern Designer, and Pet Portrait Artist. I have licensed my designs to over 30 manufacturers internationally, primarily in the Tabletop Industry, for the past 43 years.
The shelves in my studio display some of the things I designed as well as books and reference material.
