From an early age, art has been a quiet yet persistent companion. As a teenager, I designed hand-painted cards for local art shows and later discovered pottery as a personal refuge. After college, I enrolled in fine art school, but following my father’s advice to pursue a more “practical” path, I entered law school and ultimately built a 30-year career as an executive with L’Oréal Canada. Creativity never disappeared—it sharpened my eye, sensibility, and appreciation for transformation, texture, and care, qualities that now deeply inform my ceramics practice.
