American-Canadian writer and photographer Layne Beckner Grime studied photojournalism at Western Kentucky University and holds an MA in labor studies from McMaster University. Over the last two decades, she’s clerked at a bookstore, cleaned houses, waited tables, sold fireworks, been a barista, and worked at newspapers in Indiana and Michigan.
She teaches photography/design at Wilfrid Laurier University and runs a media company with her husband. When she’s not writing or working, you can find her attempting to corral her sassy kids or equally sassy chickens.
