Every artist should have a place to create. It doesn't have to be anything in particular, but if it allows for creative expression and helps you to find your inspiration when you are there, it serves it's purpose well. I love my space because I am surrounded by all my favorite supplies, pieces of my work that speak to me, beauty and light, books to peruse and find inspiration and hope when I am stuck, a couple of thinking chairs that give me a place to plan and pause, a place to dream and imagine. I've got enough space to create big and small and room to invite others in for a refreshing or deep meaningful conversation or a chance to observe my work over a glass of something nice and maybe a chocolate or two.
