
Sark was an idyllic place to grow up. With no cars or streetlights, this tiny Channel Island is a dark skies island just off the coast of France. We roamed freely as children, climbing its craggy headlands and playing in the woods, on the beaches, and in the sea. We made our own entertainment. I remember making clothes with my mum on her old Singer sewing machine and beachcombing for “treasures.”
